"I KNOW what it is."

So, honestly, not finding out the gender of our baby has been SO MUCH FUN!! I highly recommend it. Dan and I have the best time going back and forth on what we think it is (though Dan has never really been able to guess either way). I was talking to my Mom the other day (who is convinced it's a girl), and she refers to the baby as "she". Before you know it, she had me calling it "she", too. I went home and was talking to Dan and called the baby "she", and he did a mock gasp, and we both laughed. Then a couple days later, we were walking the dogs around Greenlake and I said something in the way of "...our son.." We both laughed. The gender bounces back and forth in my head.
And the BEST is strangers who are SO SURE that they know what it is. Just this last weekend we were at our neighbors' for a potluck and people we've never met were guessing and having me do silly tricks like hold Dan's ring over my belly on a string to determine what it is. One woman was like, "I know what it is. Do you want me to tell you? But I KNOW, so make sure you want to know." I was like, "Sure, Miss Cleo, tell us what it is." I just love it when people are so certain about it. Even a guy that came by my work to shred boxes was like "I'm really good at guessing; do you want me to tell you what it is?" I always say "Sure". haha. Afterall, they do have a 50/50 chance. ;)
