Last week, I suffered under the reign of some bad intestinal bacteria.  I was truly MISERABLE all week!  The pressure and pain in my abdomen were so uncomfortable.  Just wait until I post an updated picture.  I've noticeably 'shrunk' from last week when my belly was filled with 1/4 baby and 3/4 excess air.  And the pressure and pain lasted days and days. It was wearing my body out big time to try and grow a baby and fight the bacteria at the same time.  It also didn't help that the pressue was expanding my belly so much that I could hardly eat anything as my stomach was being squished.  As you can imagine, a few days of this, and I was feeling pretty weak.  The midwife advised me to take a probiotic.  I did and am on the mend.

But the point of this post is not to give you a TMI look into the inner workings of my body, but to say how grateful I am to now be back to normal health.  It is a reminder of what a blessing it is to be healthy and able-bodied.  I don't want to revisit last week any time soon, but I am thankful for the reminder at what a gift it is to be living life without the oppresion of illness or maladies.  Praise God!

And another blessing of feeling healthy and able was that I was able to actually help Dan with the weekend To-Do and chore lists.  He said Sunday night, "I feel like I got so much done this weekend".  And I replied, "Yeah, it helps when your wife is able to pitch in instead of laying on the couch all day".

So, if you're feeling healthy today, say a quick 'thank you'.
