So for a little while now, I've been putting "Shanna maternity leave" on my boss' "To-Do" list. I put it about a 3/4 of the way down on the list as I know he is notorious for never reading the second half of the list, that is if he even reads any of it.  Anyway, I've been bugging him with "did you look at your to-do list" and "have any updates for me from your to-do list?"  It's been awful because I know he's been thinking, "gosh she's really been nagging me about my to-do list lately".  Finally, a couple of days ago, I put "Read To-Do List" as the first item on the list.  He did see this and laughed about it...but DIDN'T read the list.  Then today again, as he was getting ready to leave the office for the weekend I said, "Come on, I know you have some updates for me".  And he pulls out the list and marks off "Read To-Do List" and I said, "Oh, no, you can't mark that off because I know that's not true".  Then he proceeds to go line by line on the list, and he finally sees my note.  He said, "Shanna!  Is this true?", and then gave me a big hug.  It was very sweet, and we had a big laugh about the whole thing.  He called up Dan to congratulate him.  He is very happy and excited for us.   

And now I'm so relieved because I can stop trying to disguise my belly for work!  Now I can just wear what feels comfortable!  Hallelujah!
